Impressive Sound from an Inexpensive Source December 29, 2008 Andrea L. Polk (Southern Oregon) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
The Danelectro Honeytone Mini Amp - Beatnik Burgundy is an easy way to get great sound from your electric guitar. The color of this unit is a soft burgundy (almost brick red in color). Paired with the Zero Hum AC Adaptor, it's a highly portable amp setup. "Ultra-portable" by using a 9V battery instead of the AC adaptor. I do think they are best purchased together to enjoy all the benefits of this rig though.
A headphone jack on the amp means you can enjoy the amp's impressive sound quality without bothering the neighbors or waking your spouse.
Included with the amp is an Owner's Manual with simple start-up instructions. You'll need to have your own cord (the one that goes from the guitar to the amp isn't provided as part of the amp package...). The manual has several control settings for the following sound tweaks:
-Clean & Spanky
-Warm Jazz
-Big Amp Overdrive
-Killer Blues
-Distorted Rhythm
-Thick Solo
-Woodstock Fuzz
-Send the Cats Under the Bed
-Twang
-Mondo Sustain
-Brit Solo Tune
-Sparkle Clean
-Early 80's Clean Solo
-Late 60's Neck Solo
-70's Brit
-70's Solo
I paid under $20 for this amp and couldn't be happier with the product. Don't hesitate to pick one up for yourself.

I bought this little amp based on a review I read. It is everything it was said to be and then some. A wonderful little amp that is unbelievable loud.
Cute and practical May 11, 2008 P. Lounsbury 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This amp is cute and practical. It looks retro with a color kids will love. Works both as a sufficient practice amp and headphone amp that you can actually wear on your belt, very portable and wireless 9-volt power is a good thing
Great little amp you can really clip onto your belt. August 8, 2009 Jerry (Las Vegas, NV United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My last portable amp was a the legendary Pig**** which was a solid little amplifier. The N10 HoneyTone is just that and more. From warm clear tones to rauchy distortion this serious amp produces with surprisingly good projection over a livingroom size area. Considering that it is battery powered, the electronics that make this box rock are magic. The settings-guide booklet is spot on for combining tone, volume and overdrive (distortion) effects.
The attractive case is sturdy, light and clean with very accessible controls. A solid belt clip, headphone jack and optional a/c power adapter make this amp is totally versatile. I get good sounds with my acoustic, electric and resonator guitars also soul-sounding combinations for my harmonicas. There is a lot of value in this small package and it comes in candy colors! Sweet.
A cute little amp, great for beginners! March 24, 2008 Delamaine (Seattle Eastside) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I'm new to playing guitar - BRAND new, I've only had my Artcore about a week. And I can play it unplugged, but I don't like that plinky acoustic sound, so I was looking for an inexpensive amp that would allow me to get the true electric guitar sound. I actually went to Guitar Center to pick up a Vox DA5 but when I saw the Honeytone I was intrigued. The clerk said it was a good little amp for practice, and I agree. It has a little booklet that tells you how to set the dials for different types of sounds and my family and I have had fun experimenting with the different settings. The Honeytone is about half the size of a thick paperback book and I've ordered the AC adapter for it (though it does come with a battery to get you started). Well worth the $20!
