First of all, this monster's heel-down RANGE control provides low frequency adjustment that can be swept from 440 Hz down to 250 Hz, making the HB01 the ideal companion for either guitar or bass. For custom-tailoring the toe-down frequency range, the HELL-BABE features a FINE control, allowing you to adjust the frequency sweep as high as 2.2 kHz. Volume Boost Dial in a powerful volume BOOST (up to +15 dB), so that when you do step on the HB01, your guitar jumps to the top of the mix. A highly versatile Q control is provided for precise filter shaping and for achieving vocal-like effects. No-Nonsense Build Quality Unlike a lot of wahs on the market, the HELL-BABE uses no mechanical pots or switches, which significantly reduces wear and tear. But that's not all that separates this pedal from the pack; it also features a spring-back pedal mechanism with resistance adjustment. And thanks to Behringer's ultra-bright LED indicators you'll always know when it's on and when the volume boost is activated. You can power this bad boy with a 9V battery or the PSU-SB DC power supply (not included). What's in the Box Behringer HB01 Hell-Babe Wah-Wah Pedal, User's Manual

Good for the budget guitarist. August 27, 2009 C. K. Associate 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I recently got a Behringer Hell-Babe, it is an absolutely great Wah Wah pedal for the budget minded guitarist. I have owned a few wah wah pedals, Vox, Dunlop and some off brands, and this one can hold it's ground with the Vox and the Dunlop as far as functionality goes, as far as construction the Vox and the Dunlop are better built as they are made of metal and the Behringer Hell-Babe is housed in plastic. I like that I can tweak the tone to my liking which gives you a greater range in comparison with some other wah pedals. So if you are on a budget or not this is really a great pedal, sure you could spend more on a pedal, but the money you save can go towards other fun toys for you to play with, that or strings which ever comes first.
One mean piece of equipment!! February 20, 2010 Solaceinsorrow I've been playing with this a lot since I got it last week. It really is versatile as well as noiseless. I've mostly used it with the default settings.
I haven't had the time to tweak it as much as I'd like but I can say that it is quite easy to get different tones from it. Really impressed with this wah!
great wah pedal April 17, 2010 Chester Kenney this is a great wah pedal for someone who doesnt want to spend a crap-load on a dunlop or a vox. though it isn't a crybaby it is still really good and for the price who wouldnt want to try it.
very good wah June 9, 2010 Charles Duncan (ky) so too start off dont believe the gear snobs about behringer i own 5 of their pedals and have never had a problem with any i play 3 nites a week live and they work great ive owned them all for a year about this wah pedal very adjustable sweeps and it has a drive option where you can get more overdrive with the pedal i dont use it dont like the overdrive sound but thats just me you step on the pedal and its on i love that i also have a dunlop crybaby that has a mod for more of a clapton tone but i like the behringer way morethis thing is just so much more adjustable and get a more modern tone that the other pedal not to say its not vintage sounding if you want to tweek it you can get that tone also works very well with other pedals and for the price wow its a freaking stealno tone loss when not on and no volume drop when its on
10X Better Than Dunlop Original Wah! October 12, 2007 I. Valdez (Seattle, WA) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
Sometimes you get more than what you paid for. This is one of those times. I choose the Hellbabe HB0l for it features and mainly for the price. I was very surprised at the range of Wah sounds produced by this pedal. you can shape the Wah sound to what ever sound your after nice Sweep. I also have The Original Dunlop Crybaby, Let me tell you this was 2x more expensive and it sucks. It sucks your tone out of your guitar, It is so noisy. By comparison the Hellbabe is a better investment.
