Product Description The Rogue VB-100 Violin Bass features a flamed maple arched top and back with the European-style hollowbody that makes it lightweight and capable of deep, resonant bass tones. The traditional 31" scale offers immediate familiarity in your hands. A custom trapeze tailpiece, pearloid pickguard, and body binding on front and back are added touches.

Howdy All,
Several years back I was in a small music shop, and saw the most beautiful Bass Guitar. My Mother told me that it was a knock off of the one that Paul of "THE BEATLES" played, which of course is made by Hofner (i.e. www.hofner.com). I thought to myself that if I ever take a notion to play the Bass this is the look I want. And the ROGUE VB100 SERIES II VIOLIN BASS (also sometimes called a "BEATLE BASS") is the exact guitar that I purchased. Since that fateful day, I & several of my very talented & musically gifted friends have messed with it. The guitar is very nice. It's not just sturdy - It's purdy! Holds up & Sounds beautifully. The people who's I read reviews upon buying said to get FLAT WOUND STRINGS. Why? Honestly.. I still have no idea, but they feel awfully good, and look cool too. In both my opinion & various others - Anyone buying this guitar not only is making a wise choice PRICE WISE, but they also have some serious style. This Bass works well for Country, Gospel, Rock, and a variety of other styles. Hope you enjoy it. I mean every word - No one paid me to say this. It's just that good. :)

I love this bass March 19, 2010 Jeff Boomhauer (lawrenceville, georgia United States) Change the strings when you buy it. Warm sound.Small scale neck can make you play wonders on this bass.Pickguard is kind of cheesy. This is a winner.Plays like a thousand dollar bass with very warm classic tone
The Beatles violin bass April 26, 2010 I just started playing bass and so far I have not had any problems. Some reviews say to change the strings. The strings are fine if you are just playing for fun, but if you actually playing in an actual band you might want to change the strings. Now, whenever I see other people playing their basses I think in my head "Yep mines cooler." You can also play multiple genres of music with this bass. It looks just as good as Paul McCartney's hofner.
second review. forgot some stuff! May 19, 2010 This is my second review, my first one was titled "The Beatles violin bass". In my last review, I forgot one thing. This bass comes with a cable, or at least mine did. So that's it I guess. Read my other review and it will tell you everything else!
For Most July 28, 2010 AndrewF This bass is very nice and a great deal for the money. But its kinda trebely so bewhere. But it sounds nice and plays nice. Just make sure to change the strings.
