Product Description The Dean EAB Electric Acoustic Bass is the perfect starter bass guitar for the beginning bass player. Now you can play bass with or without an amp! This is a comfortable bass that's loud enough for jam sessions with acoustic guitar players, and has the on-board electronics to let you take it right up on stage. For home recording, an acoustic bass is absolutely perfect because you get an incredible sound and you don't have to spend time finding thesweet spotmiking up a speaker cabinet.Features include a select spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a passive piezo pickup system.Dean is really doin' it right with the Electric Acoustic Bass.

a pleasent surprize September 15, 2009 Fredi Tal (usa) We bought the guitar for our 15 old boy for birthday. He was wanting a Acoustic Bass guitar for awhile, he was very pleased as the guitar have a good sound, a deep echo.
Thank you
Excellent beginner instrument December 22, 2009 Joseph Brakhage I'm a novice guitar player looking to learn bass, since I don't know anyone who plays one. This instrument surpassed my expectations on sound, quality, and factory setup. From the factory, this bass has lower action than my Combo/Selmer acoustic guitar did (and that's not a bass). Intonation at fret 12 is almost perfect on the factory setup, which is a very pleasant surprise to me.
The only quirk I've found so far is a very slight buzz down by the bridge on low E struck hard. I bet the player is the only person who can hear it, though.
A pro might find some faults with it, but I believe it will do well at all the bass playing I expect to do, given my skill level.
Fantastic Bass May 19, 2010 Stuart Stein I have been playing bass off and on for almost 30 years now, but never tried an acoustic bass guitar. I thought that it was time. This bass lives up to all the positive reviews. Fun to play and well built. Pickup is a little weak, but I don't plan to plug it in anyway. I purchased a hard shell case from Musicians Friend and now I am set. Well worth the money.
quality June 7, 2010 Joe Woodard (SC USA) this turned out to be a far better guitar than I had hoped it would be.
Great Buy for the money August 21, 2009 J. Liotti (NJ, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Been playing acoustic guitar for 25yrs, and wanted to try the bass.
I received the order in 24hrs, with free shipping!
The guitar was in great shape, no problems.
Will change the strings to a flatter variety, as per previous reviews.
All in all, great buy, great price.
